Caffè Ritazza is where I spent a couple of hours, waiting in Arlanda airport. Arlanda in Stockholm. Caffè Ritazza looked really nice and really inviting. Not much to do in Arlanda airport, but i guess its always like that when traveling home.
I used a nearby table as a tripod. I think it captures how the Caffe Ritazza at Arlanda airport looks. I should have bought a cake.
Camera: Nikon D200
Focal length: 27mm
Aperture: f/5.6
Exposures: 7
I travel alot in my job and I live in Stockholm so I have spent some time at this Café.
I realy like how you have proccesed this picture, giving it that 60´s pop-art look.
I great picture!
Many thanks Jonas.
Maybe you can tell me if their cakes tastes good, cause they sure did look good.
Super nice colour processing!!
Bo, I haven't been able to close my mouth since I first saw your shots. I'm drying out. My colleagues think I'm weird.
I understand you're using HDR, but obviously not for this one. How did you manage to get the colours and light stand out like this?
Hi m :)
I did actually use HDRI for this one. All my shots are based upon HDRI. By placing my camera on a nearby table i was able to capture 7 exposures.
First I used Photomatix to tonemap it very "gentle", being very careful not to produce too much noise. Then i created yet another tonemap, this time going for a lot more colors and contrast.
Then i created a third tonemap this time black and white - very ugly, but i wanted to use this one as a dodge and burn layer. Then i blended them all together in Photoshop.
Took about 15 min.
Hi Bo!
Yes, they are quite tasty... Rather expensive tought as in all airport cafés ;)

Bo, another nice picture. I see you love details and light. Great job. Thanks, you share your know-how. I have modify my HDR technique a little bit. Sometime i bracket 5-9 captures. Sometime i took 1 exporse in RAW an mix it with the original RAW. So you have also great effects. You have no rss-feed?
My RSS feed somehow got removed from the site ... when i did some updates to the templates. Its back :) Thanks for spotting it.
This one of the more interesting images I've seen to use HDR, to capture an intimate, indoor setting rather than the usual grand landscapes. I haven't played with HDR much at all, but it's nice to see someone trying something different with it to more subtle effect.
