There really haven't been that much snow around where i live and the main roads aren't normally covered with snow. Not this year, anyway. More ice than snow during the night. So driving to work, carefully since nobody had removed the snow, i saw a car with the headlights on and somebody fighting the ice on his car. If you look at the tire marks to the left, there are a pair that runs across. As i was shooting this a friend came by. He had also been out shooting pictures this morning and by now, as me, late for work.
Camera: Nikon D200
Focal length: 33mm
Aperture: f/16
Exposures: 9
The clouds seem rather ominous in this shot. I like how the snow & ice highlight all the details throughout this scene.
It looks and sounds like a quaint place to live. It's a neat image.
Thanks all.
Sorry for not being more online right now, but i am currently sick and trying to get well.
On a side note: does anybody know how to vote for a picture on http://photos.vfxy.com/themes/?
beautiful mood!
Incredible tonal quality.
I like your shot of the fresh tracks in the light snow. You picked a fine corner for this shot. Nicely done.
You are sick .. is the picture the reason? ;-) Bo healthy soon, we need your captures. Another moody HDRi .. nice atmosphere.
Bo, I do hope for a fast recovery, I do hope the sun will shine for you!!
This picture is like a fairy tale to me, so delicat, so nice, love the tracks in the snow.
This looks unreal! Nice job!
I really like this picture. I especially like the tracks in the snow that give the impression of action.
I'm curious, why so many exposures on most of your photos? What effect can you get out of nine that you can't get with four or five?
Very nice snow urban landscape.

Wow--great composition and tonal range. nice.
It's a beautiful neighborhood and the snow is lovely. It seemed odd seeing it because Spring has arrived for us. A superb image.
@Ten Things: It all depends on from where you shoot..
For this shot i wanted details in the shadow area and therefor i measured the darkest point and then shot nine up. I like nine shots. Its the most my D200 will do and the "clearness" it gives me, works for me. Its my style :) Also with more shots you can control the noise better and (i think) you get more smooth pictures.
For night shots where you don't need the same details in the shadow area you can get away with less shots.
You should just measure the darkest area and the brightest area and shoot everything in between to be sure you covered the full luminance range of the scene.
One fine and beautiful HDR,, Speechless..
Amazing HDR. Great picture :)
bien joli, ce paysage sous la neige.
magnifique!! beaucoup de délicatesse...bravo
Nice one, Bo. Like the tire tracks leading you through this shot and you can't help but notice the excellent details in the houses and the snow covered trees. Great job on this image.
Wonderful winter scene Bo
My first reaction at seeing this fantastic shot was The Shining. There's a very ominous feel to this.
Beautifull shot! the composition is great. i like the scene over all, and the quaint town look. the HDR really makes this image pop overall. nice job.
