This is a good example of what HDR photography can do. Without HDR all the highlights would have been burned out and there would have been less details in the shadow area. It would have been a completely different shot without HDR. In my opinion nighttime photography really gets better with HDR.

The HDR effect is somehow less apparent. I like HDR, but i mostly like subtle HDR. This is another part of the construction site: Construction Site Behind Fisketorvet

Camera: Nikon D200

Exceptional night image. I hope they're going to build something beautiful:-)

I agree 100%. Night photography is what really excels with HDR - spot on. Excellent example. Keep it up!

Very nice light. I particularly like the scene, a patchwork of squares and angles!

dillonpic on April 22, 2008 02:50

Great scene here. i love how the sky looks. the lights really look good using HDR.... nice job!

Lunamania on April 22, 2008 06:28

awesome and a great "subtle" HDR shot. Look forward to more.

Great shot. I love all the 90 degree angles and lines throughout this entire shot. Very geometric. You've managed to capture an interesting night sky as well.

Aweosome light and colours. Superb HDR.

Astrid on April 22, 2008 11:14

You are so right about this HDR, this is when it it used in a good naturel way, I like this on very much.

Beeps and Chirps on April 22, 2008 14:04

That is a real nice HDR. The lights definitely look cool.

michele on April 22, 2008 19:52

you have a real skill here for seeing the beauty in these places and bringing it out in the photographs.

daina on April 22, 2008 22:40

What I like most is the luminescent sky - without HDR don't think it would be possible. I do like the subtlety - you have done an excellent job – I would not even think HDR if you did not mention it. The image is terrific also : )

Great Industrial Nightscape - love the lighting !

Radel on April 22, 2008 23:12

Very nice. Couldn't agree more. HDR is the way to go for night photography. For so many exposures though I need to get my hands on a new tripod pronto :)

Oswegan on April 22, 2008 23:27

I would agree that it appears more subtle in night shots which is nice. This is quite a remarkable construction site.

Tom Sheehan on April 22, 2008 23:49

Very fine work here. Nicely captured. :)

Beautiful night shot. Great HDR.

Klaus on April 23, 2008 00:48

Perfect nightshot, well done Bo

Oeilonirique on April 23, 2008 10:35

Indeed night photography very difficult to have a decent result like this one.

Andriy on April 23, 2008 16:14

Certainly HDR helps to reveal details. One thing that I cannot get a hold on is color palette. Many HDRs have this dullish yellow-grey tone that I find needs correction.

Craig Wilson on April 23, 2008 18:44

Love the lighting and the detail - good HDR work :)

Martin on April 23, 2008 19:40

I have taken a number of night HDR shots and found that the effect is less noticeable as well. This is a lovely example!

Martin on April 23, 2008 19:41

Great example of night time HDR!

Tero on April 23, 2008 21:16

Really great HDR!

cako on April 26, 2008 06:52

This is a great HDR photo. Very good processing.

Jeff T on April 27, 2008 19:00

Great HDR conversion ... it's not apparent that it's been altered with HDR. Nice job, very appeasing photo.
