Out where i work people often sail by in all kinds of boats. Kayak, canoes, boats with engines and without. You can find kayak boats laying stowed away, at different locations. I have always wondered how many of these kayak boats are being stolen each year.

Because of the framing and the kayak boats, i processed this one a bit different than i usually do. Let me know what you think.

A well composed shot. Great lines and shapes. Looks great in B&W.

Klaus on April 14, 2008 05:53

Nice one, i like the sharpeness and the soft sky, well done Bo.

Jan Erik Moström on April 14, 2008 07:32

Nice. I especially like the structure of house walls. It looks like a pencil sketch.

Claus on April 14, 2008 08:52

This one is really nice, the colour and shine you have given it, makes it stand out, beautiful!

El Jefe on April 14, 2008 10:28

I like it. Really a great work

Amy on April 14, 2008 15:28

Nice Job, great lines.

Beeps and Chirps on April 14, 2008 15:54

I think it looks cool! Like a b/w hdr.

Scarabaeus on April 14, 2008 17:21

I love your HDR images. This one is great.

Morten on April 14, 2008 18:25

Hi Bo,

Great work.. I know I asked you If you have made any HRD in b/w , well I guess this answers my question. :-)

This is a really awesome HRD b/w... congrats

Need to find another challenge for you

Oswegan on April 14, 2008 18:33

This one certainly is wild. It looks more like a drawing than a photograph. I like the smokestack in the background. It would be interesting to see this without the hdr, just as a comparison. The overall composition of the shot is really nice.

John Maslowski on April 14, 2008 19:07

Actually like this shot right down the center. The diagonal lines of the roof and the details in this image make this a great composition. Like the grayscale tones here, really enhances the overall image, great job.

Bo on April 14, 2008 19:08

Without the 9 brackets and the merge to HDR its really ordinary and frankly very boring :)
Thanks for all your comments. It vert much appreciate

I just love this, the tones are beautiful, you know I am a fan oy you, the smoke of the chimney is very nice too.

sherri on April 14, 2008 21:52

I think it's beautiful. The image is exceptional and the processing is very artistic. It looks like a sketch.

Miro at LightIsAllAround.com on April 14, 2008 21:58

Very good detail and nice BW HDR. The geometry and symmetry makes it very interesting. Just thinking if it would be better with or without chimney?

Lara on April 14, 2008 22:13

I love how this glows! It's interesting that such a structured image can feel so ethereal at the same time.

óscar on April 14, 2008 22:33

I like it, but I think that you have highlights up to the kayaks that you could neutralize...
but the rest of the photo it's perfect!
I like the texture of the wood and the sky!
see you!

incroyable atmosphère, c'est très beau.

Oeilonirique on April 15, 2008 07:28

You always find the right use of treatment, like in this one making it appear like a drawing which fits excellently to the subject.

CushmoK on April 15, 2008 08:14

very nice job : good treatment..
