This male swan was out early, and swimming with friends. This male swan is one of the two swans living in a nearby lake, or moor. The male swan is gathering food or supplies for the nest. The female swan is watching over the eggs, i guess. She hasn't moved in a couple of weeks. I was standing a couple of meters out in the water, trying to get close enough to the male swan, or waiting for him to invite me to go swimming with him..

Love the processing, very dreamy. You should keep an eye on the eggs, maybe you can get some pictures of the little ones when they hatch. :)

A beautiful lake and those rooftops look like lovely homes. You've captured the Swan in his gracefulness. A lovely image.

I like the mood in the picture, it has a kind of "lithographic" touch to it

Great one Bo. I'm impressed with your HDRI for moving subjects. Very well done.

A great looking swan. The processing gives the shot a distinctive look. Very nice.

Great processing here, love the texture of the water, in the polder at my place, we do have a may swans on the nest, the male become dangerous if there will be little ones.

Right away I wonder how this would look if the diagonal in the background (where water meets land) was parallel with the frame of the image. This one feels "crooked" to me. (not meaning to offend, mind you - just critiquing - everyone always seems to leave "fluffy" comments..this is just what was running through my mind.)

@Meticulis.com: I appreciate your comments and i will never get offended by critic :) and i agree with you
Problem was that i only had about 5 secs to turn my tripod, focus on the swan, measure the light and then shoot 9 brackets, all while standing out in the water. I could have straighten it in photoshop, but that would have me also cropping it and one of my philosophies is never to crop. I think its to easy to just shoot something and then later straighten and crop it.
Sounds strange.. since i post process the hell out of my HDR, but wont crop - guess we all have our little quirks :)
