This is the first reunion of the eating outdoor team. Bad weather does not exists. In rain, sun, snow and even windy situations - the eating outdoor team could be found at, lunch time - eating outdoor.
We started when we worked at Rejsbygade, Copenhagen. Eating in a backyard. It provided some cover for the wind and the rain. The company moved to Islands Brygge and we continued the tradition of eating outdoor. At Islands Brygge it became a little more tough, we didn't have that much cover anymore, but we continued anyway. It is really hard getting nine people to stand still - and one person in particular!
Camera: Nikon D200
Focal length: 27mm
Aperture: f/5.6
Exposures: 9
What a great tradition, and a nice group portrait.
Looks like a good group. Great tones and colors throughout.
I'm guessing the little fella is the difficult one:-) It must be so cold with the wind coming across that water. Nice to keep the friendship going. Neat shot.
Stop the breath, freeze the smile - that's hard. ;-) - Nice background and good colourd sky, well done Bo.
An excellent image in fine detail. I love the sky!
:) I'm grateful that none has thought about that where I work !!
Nice sky (I really should try HDR!!)
Nice shot! Excellent colours and a very casual portrait. Very good and informative site, btw. I’ll be stopping by a lot! :-)
Great shot of the sky. You should see some Asia sky at www.asrisai.com/photographs-of-nature
you have a lot of good pictures. but you always make HDR images?¿
and 9 exposures?¿
when I make a HDR i make 3 or 4 exposures only...
to make portraits it has to be difficult!
see you!
I am impressed, to stand still like that, especiality for the little fellow, nice tradition, love the way you do these HDR, everytime I am impressed.
I find that the nine exposures makes it much easier to create "my style".
I have done 14 exposures Houses Behind Christiania and also "only" 5 Riding On The Subway In Barcelona
This is a great group shot, I love how the sky came out.
Another great HDRI. I'm a 5 exposure guy myself sometimes venturing to 7 or 9 but typically 5. Anyway, love your images and this one is no exception. Excellent work.
Wow, that came out pretty good, the subjects notwithstanding.
Did you have to do anything special to avoid the motion blur, because as far as I remember we certainly didn't stand still for all 9 exposures.
Also, was there much post processing?

Photomatix has an option to remove movement. It works pretty good with small movements. I had to clean up my own head movement, Simons child and Just's running around :)
Layers:
- Changed the color
- Contrast add
- "Frame" adjustments
- Dodge n burn
- A bit of sun streaks
- Sharpening for screen
Sympatique ce traitement de l'image
endroit original, et superbe traitement.
Sounds a good idea, personally I really like the slightly dull colours in this photo, it makes it look older.
This is not bad.. but somehow the low contrast is is makeing this image a little flat.
Nice portrait. Interesting processing as well.
Great picture beside that we look like 7 sure mænd (sorry you have to watch danish TV to get this).
Great shot! .. And don't we all just look great!
Wow, really cool processing :)
nice shot! looks like a fun day. I like how you processed this.
Nice spot for lunch! Nice shot!
That's what life is all about...having fun with good friends. Wonderful shot.
I dig this - cool subject matter and solid work throughout the processing. What I really like is that you're open to the manipulation you do. Too many people take the stigma that "digital processing removes the validity of the image". I dont' buy that at all. It's all relative, from the old-school B&W work from the early 1900s to Photoshop, Photomatix and Lightroom of today. Nice work.
I like the photo, but even more I like the way you note all the pertinent information about the camera and exposure. I wish more photographers would do that on their blogs, it helps me learn. I try to include all the exposure information when I post pictures on my blog, too.
Great image and a great story.
Very interesting tones. You've captured a nice moment in time.
wow, the eating outside is hardcore. beautiful group and photo though. thank you for the visit and comment.
really good capture. brilliant background. nicely done.
What a great and difficult shot! A lot to learn here! Love the group portrait and your history!
WOW beautiful work and shot.
My congratulations.
Somehow it reminds me the Sopranos. :) Of course I don't mean that your friends look like mobsters but the mood of this image looks like a screen from the series. Nice work.
