Vacation Time
Seems like very body is going on vacation, or coming home from vacation. This shot is from Copenhagen airport, as we found our way out to the plane to New York.
This year we're going to Mallorca, wish it was soon. I am going to focus on nighttime HDR photography and also i think i will pick up and old hobby of mine, from my film days: creative correct exposures. I still shoot film, but not so often..

The dark clouds/vignette definitely conveys the dread of work while everyone else is on vacation! I like this.

even before reading your comments i liked the moodiness of the grey and orange composition. certainly does convey the frustration with working while others are lazing around and ordering more drinks. i assume creative correct exposures is a bit of a tongue-in-cheek term for getting it right in the camera rather than relying on the computer. but perhaps i'm wrong.

@John Maslowski: Sorry for my late answer, but everything as been hectic lately and also im planning a lot of trips in my vacation.
"Creative correct exposure" is just my own way of reminding me to think. (There's no such thing as correct exposure. It all depends on what your after.)
When shooting film, you don't have the luxury of a histogram, so you better know what you get down on your film. So with each shot i first think: what aperture? Is it for isolation? DOF? Where do i want details?
After that, I set my shutter speed. I often use center weighted light metering.
When shooting film I always check the number in the display before pressing the shutter. It was second nature. I have come to realize that after switching over to digital, i have become “numb” to those figures. I can always check the histogram afterwards, but what if I only have one chance at a shot? I have become lazy. No better than a kid with a point and shoot camera.
Its my way of returning to my own virtues. Digital has made me slow, sort of.
Dark sky makes dark atmosphere, ...
Personally, I would cut complete bottom half of the image. And, well, I agree, digital makes us numb. I easily take 360 photos in 1 or 2 hours and spend 4 or more hours to choose and postprocess 10 best from them. Luckily I still find them :) If I'd have two rolls of film with, carefully exposed I would got those best one, may be better ones. But there is no way back, I am afraid... ;p)
