I visited St Alban's Church with my son, on a cold February's day. St Alban's Church is located in the central Churchill park. Its the only Anglican church in Denmark. In Denmark we just call it "The English Church".
I took 4 different photographs of St. Alban's Church, but this one was the only one i currently like. I hope one day to be able to take some photographs from with in St Albans Church.
Camera: Nikon D200
Focal length: 27mm
Aperture: f/16
Exposures: 9
temps couvert, fumée, herbe verdâtre,église grise, ça donne envie de se jeter à l’eau ;)
This is not bad, but somehow the rail in the bottom of the image is bad for the overall composition, and it looks like the horizon is tilting to the right!
I really like the church as an object for the photograph. I think in this case, I would have taken a step forward to get rid of the rail and get the full reflection. Anyways, I can’t wait to get back to Denmark and some photo roams in Copenhagen. Cheers
Thanks for your comments, and suggestions. Its really appreciated.
Great shot! The gray skies and even the smoke stacks in the background create a mood.
it’s amazing how you retransmit a dark and cold November atmosphere, the church seems to be heavy-weighted in this loss place
Nice theme, I agree with Clause and Sune above and additionally: the horizon is not in level (we falling to right). I would go two steps to left :p)
Bonjour, Well done shot..Good treatment…Nice composition..bravo!
Nice shot! I like the way the railing at the bottom shapes the scene & adds interest to the composition.
beautifull shot. i love the dynamic range and colors. well done.
What a shot. So serene and calm. It appears as if it might rain!
Thanks all. You are too kind :) I have to agree with Jennifer, i do think that the rail at the bottom helps the scene. I actually think that it turns it from a snapshot and into a scene.
Thanks all for visiting my site
At first I didn’t like this one that much but it wins in the long run. I realy like the gray-tone in it. Nice details in the church, also, and the lighter clouds behind the church gives a great depth in the picture… I realy don’t feel that the bar in the front disturb the picture. It is a interesting detail and it gives the picture a sense of honesty of reality that I like.
This is a beautiful place but that railing spoils it a bit.
peace and tranquility to earth :)
Beautiful. Think the grey sky adds to the whole effect. It looks cold. As for the railing, think it makes the photo more interesting. Gives viewer a feeling of being in the photo, and not just looking at the photo.
Beautiful scenery! :-)
Bo, nice work. Good framing with the walls on left and right side, nice sky. I think like Claus and Sune - the railing in foreground destroys your reflections. Now 3:2 ;-) - Sorry for this little joke. But you can see, there are various ways to see a capture, and in the end, you must like your one picture.
LOL. We all see photography and pictures differently. Its an art form :)
