I put everybody else in jeopardy of being caught on camera, so i might as well throw myself in front of the lens. That's only fair. So with out further ado, im pleased to meet you.
David from chromasia.com pointed me to a little gem from Tridient Digital called Raw Developer. I didn't know this product, so i thought i would shoot a portrait and then use Raw Developer for the processing, but that didn't happen this time. I will give it a go next time.
I ended up in Photostop and Photomatix. I used the unsharpen mask (in Photoshop) for increasing local contrast after tonemapping and then i painted the effect in. I never use unsharpen mask for sharpening. I always use smart sharpen.

Hi,
finally I can say: Nice to meat you! :D Even I currently did some snaps of my person. Somehow funny.
Nice composition, I like the colors and the image it self. A bit shame the door or window is reflected in the sunglasses tho I must admit. It’s the only thing that seems out of place. Else - I would say it’s worth a cover shot :)
Very good self portrait Bo. Good job with the processing. For the 5 exposures, did you have a cable release (remote switch) that you were triggering to take the portrait?
Pleased to meet you!
Cool processing for a portrait!
Excellent self portrait. As always, great processing. I particularly like the color treatment here.
Thanks all.
@Tom: Yes, i had my trusted little MC30 Remote Cable Release in my hand. In post i cloned the cable reflection out the the sunglasses :)
Yes .. Its you! Great colours.
Now thats a very bling bling version of your self! :-)
@Claus. .. indeed it is LOL
Nice meeting you, you did it in a very good way, love your watch…and what Claus said LOL
What´s up dog…
this could be your new cover if you were a rapper :-)
Nice shoot
Pleased to meet you Bo. Thats a great portrait. Very cool! I love the treatment here. Do let us know about your experiments with Raw developer later..
Hi Bo .. nice to meet you ..
Great job on the self portrait. I like the sepia look to the photo.
very pleased to meet you. this is a great self-portrait. i like how it looks like you are leaning over to see into the camera and perhaps see us. i learn a lot here. thank you for mentioning about unsharp mask and smart sharpen. i’ve been using unsharp mask and the image i put up today looked okay but then very not okay on my site. i took it down and went back over my steps making more adjustments. noticed after i used unsharp mask that that’s when the whole thing really feel apart. on my reading list tomorrow - smart sharp.
hej ned dig far gangster billed! ses når du kommer:)
Nice to meet you. I find the regular mention of ‘processing’ by many new digital users quite amusing. I’ve been taking photos for 63 years and portraits seldom needed ‘processing’, though it was somewhat less broad a method that was possible with optical printing. The talk of ‘sharpening’ filters is a bit funny since so much of this image doesn’t appear sharp. The knuckles, for instance, in the same plane as the watch, are sharp, while the watch is not, which is odd. I’d be interested in the unprocessed image. But it is a good intimate shot.
Good toning and a nice, tight composition. I like that wrist watch.
Great portrait, Bo. Like the processing, especially the tones. Like that expensive looking watch too.
Great portrait. i like the processing and tones.
Hi Bo!! Nice to meet you! :) Very nice self portrait ! Love the tones and the composition.
I really like the goldish tone in this photograph. The composition is spot on too
Nice portrait. I thought you were wanting to show the watch. Coulf fit very well in a luxury watch catalogue !
Love the tones, really cool man.
Great portrait!
Really cool self portrait…nice to meet you btw :) I’m really really bad at self portraits. Great work also with the PP.
Strong portrait. good processing work.
Nice one. Like it.
